Big KIS Correction

by malwarekilla on July 14, 2009

Sadly I discovered that the Sandbox in KIS 2010 does not support the 64 bit OS. Sorry for any confusion. This is truly a bummer since almost every pc sold now is 64 bit. I really need to find a sandbox that works on a 64 bit OS.

Anyone know of any yet?

Have you taken a look at Artificial Dynamics Safespace sandbox it could maybe run on 64 OS.

Sandboxie does not support 64 bit either.

hi guys ive been trying safespace and really liked it didn’t slow my system down like some other sandbox apps. The big problem is that it can act up. the virtual part of it becomes dis-connected and can switch all your service’s off. It has been dis-continued artificial dynamics got takin over a while back, and nothing became of it since although you can still download it from download.com and artificial dynamics still have a site.

While as you state “almost every pc sold now is 64 bit,” I think you mean almost every CPU now supports 64-bit instructions. But the vast majority of people still run a 32-bit version of Windows, and thus operate under a 32-bit environment. Very few people use a 64-bit version of Windows.

Safe Space is longer supported and the Company does not make it anymore.

Try ZoneAlarm ForceField. Its the only x64 sandbox solution available.

The only one I know is the ForceField by ZoneLabs/CheckPiont.

@Ilya – thanks, I didn’t know that. So if they’re doing it why isnt DefenseWall?

@VijayIND – thanks for the link!

@malwarekilla- well, it’s a good question. In fact, I’m more hooked right now with V3 development. Core firewall functionality is already implemented, only GUI and integration things are left.
