The Future of Malware is here – CryptoLocker

Here’s a little “PSA” I made about what I think will be the future of Malware – “Malware that encrypts your data and makes you pay to get it decrypted”.  CryptoLocker has been highly successful at making those who are infected pay the ransom.

So, what’s the solution?  Make backups of your files…lot’s of backups.

    Yay on the news you may be doing back up videos! No one can get enough of that for sure! Thank goodness the newer Windows versions provide what I’ve tested as excellent backup solutions.

    Doing online backup is better than backing up to a DVD/USB drive, because in this case you don’t have to buy a lot of DVD or USB sticks, and online backup have more than the space of a DVD or USB stick
    Maybe you can do some video on free online backup sevices, that would be helpful.
