by malwarekilla on November 10, 2009

Panda’s free cloud antivirus just came out of beta.  You can check out this free cloud scanner here

They’ve overhauled the website and it looks great.  I’ll be doing 2 reviews on the final release – prevention and removal (this weekend).

I too cannot wait for the review sure hope it performs better than the last few times

me November 10, 2009 at 11:20 pm

iI can not wait but in the hitman review you said you would do a removal review for MSE

AHOPF November 10, 2009 at 11:55 pm

Thats was said in the Hitman review however everyone saw in past reviews how panda performed very poorly and now that is it out of beta lets see how good it is after all everyone knows how awesome MSE is lets see how final release panda does

Johan November 11, 2009 at 12:29 am

@ME!

If you watch the end of the video, you can see and hear Matt say that he just tested MSE against the same malware samples as HitmanPRO.

And the results where that MSE didn’t catch anything that HitmanPRO did.

So watch the video again please….

I did test the final version and the footprint is less then before and thats good news. Scanspeed improved a lot 2.
What they missed is to implement a autoupdate to newer versions, if it is final this should be implemented.

Matt – Please check CPU usage in addition to the normal Ram check. I found that it used a very large amount on my PC, and had to uninstall….thanks

Kinar November 11, 2009 at 2:39 pm

that’s great! a review would be awesome :)

me November 11, 2009 at 7:37 pm

Johan he said he would test it that night . he said MSE did not detect any more things on the computer meaning it was clean

Matt, Panda Cloud works fine with Immunet Project Cloud Av. That is pretty cool. I have Panda, Immunet and threatfire all running together nicely on a pc. All lightweight and no issues so far. Pretty interesting multi-layer security. Bryan

I’m using it Panda Cloud now, its soooooo much better!
and is the reviews going to be separate?

anon November 12, 2009 at 4:06 am

fail still does not support 64 bit systems.

927 November 12, 2009 at 11:44 am

all detected files are deleted (no option)?

malwarekilla November 12, 2009 at 2:52 pm

What?!?! OMG…every new computer I work on these days is a 64-bit OS. C’mon Panda…

malwarekilla November 12, 2009 at 2:53 pm

Yup, a lot of free apps are doing this now.

RejZoR November 12, 2009 at 4:38 pm

Why ppl never actually learn or thoroughly investigate something before they write BS. Panda Cloud supports:

Windows XP – 32bit only
Windows Vista – 32bit and 64bit
Windows 7 – 32bit and 64bit

I am running Panda Cloud on Windows 7 x64 and it’s working just fine.

Brocke November 12, 2009 at 5:32 pm

agree PCA does support 64bit. did in beta 3.

as far as version updates it will happen in ver 1.1.

I suppose I was just relying on this.

Brocke November 12, 2009 at 10:45 pm

for everyone crying about 64bit.

they do have a support forum with is free and they do help users out fast on matters.

http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum/index.jspa

they will will look into what maybe wrong and will fix the issue.

anon November 13, 2009 at 10:55 pm

crying… I just think it is very unprofessional for software these days to not have a version for 64 bit operating systems since they are not going to go away it has been several years since they were developed and they are only going to become more and more prevalent. They shouldn’t even need to be told they should just do it.

Brocke November 14, 2009 at 6:06 pm

Panda Cloud Antivirus does support

windows 7 64
windows vista 64

NOT windows xp 64.

is everyone running xp 64? if thats the case then thats your issue.

927 November 14, 2009 at 6:57 pm

i would stick with avira, avast (or avg)

Dj T 4 November 15, 2009 at 3:55 pm

Yay, removal is back! Thank you matt. Anyways I’ve Tried panda cloud anti virus and they should really add web scanning in their product that way its more cooler.
