Hi,

If you have a Windows XP cd, turn on your computer enter your BIOS, make sure that in the boot options its set to boot from CD first and your Hard Drive then Save your settings and insert your Win XP CD in the Drive, if it says “boot from CD” then press Enter and follow the on screen instructions to install Win XP.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan

Hi Ryan,

Is it the original Copy of Win XP CD (Retail or is an OEM CD (form the manufacture of your PC)?

Also What is the make and model of your PC?

Regards,
Jonathan

OK, what error message, do you get any error messages when you boot from the CD?

you could have a faulty hard drive if it going to blue screen when you try to install Win XP using the recovery CD/F11, That would explain the corrupt IE8, i happened on my old PC and my friends laptop.
