I just stopped by the Panda Cloud AV blog to see what those guys were up to and the first post
caught my attention. Apparently Panda’s Cloud AV (currently beta 4) has really been improved (as compared when I tested beta 2) because according to PC World it’s scoring pretty dam high…
1. Panda: 99.4%
2. Avira: 98.9%
3. Avast: 98.2%
4. MSE: 97.8%
5. AVG: 95.8%
6. Comodo: 74.6%
I just built a fresh VM with Panda’s Cloud Antivirus beta 4…I’m going to be testing away today and tomorrow
Anyway, you’ll see my results on youtube!

Ya its only 2 months old.
Nice to see though that MSE is higher then AVG.
Anyways cloud antivirus is not really that high but its pretty good.
Panda does not like my computer for some reason i get really really high cpu like 100%!!! and it will not go down!!!
I am sticking with mse, the few percentage points doesnt make much a difference and next test it might change again. I am not one to change everytime a new test comes out and other tests the results are different.
according to http://blog.cloudantivirus.com
The version Filehippo is showing is 0.08.83, which corresponds to Beta2, not Beta4. They probably made a typo or error when publishing this page

We had a planned outage to upgrade the firewalls and other backend components. Getting ready for the Beta3 release which also includes a new website
unbelievable. Put them to the test. It will be wonderful to see how it fares.
panda is 2010 make some promotion with WOT and gives u 3 months for free. I installed it on my pc. Panda exxxtremly slowed down my pc. I couldn’t believe!
What? xD I couldn’t believe! this 99.4% score.
I tried Panda. It’s very slow and system resource monster.
Which Place took Kaspersky and Norton?
Their signatures must be higher than Comodo, AVG, MSE, Avast, Avira, and Panda too.
Panda Cloud is no where near better than Prevx.
Matt – Maybe wait a few days? A new build is supposed to be out in “days” according to wilders.
Have you testing Immunet yet?
You know what, I just tested panda and it sucked. I also haven’t trusted PC mag in a while now.
Yes. The Beta3 is quite an improvement! (0.08.83)

Well, Bill, I am sticking with Avira as I am not one to change every time someone gets excited about something new (MSE)
But 2% is a huge difference in this space. Surely you see that.
You want me to believe that the likes of Kaspersky, Nod32, and Norton scored lower than Comodo: at 74.6% ? there is now way they scored lower than 74.6%…me thinks this article is bullsh*t

You have absoluetly right?
First, those who claim Panda Cloud to be a resource hog I’m not sure where you are getting this. I have a 2004 Gateway notebook with a much slower cpu and limited memory in comparison with computers today and Panda Cloud is by far the lightest on resources of the AV’s I have used which include ESET, Norton, Trend Micro, Kaspersky. More recently I installed Avira which was easy on resources but still not as good as Panda Cloud. My question is did you really download Panda Cloud or one of Panda’s conventional AV’s? Even scans are light on resources. As far as Prevex goes, Prevx sucks. They offer no full trial version. Just a version that detects only. A friend paid for Prevx and discovered when it came to malware removal it was terrible.
