Hitman 3.5.3 Review

by malwarekilla on November 5, 2009

Last night I uploaded my Hitman 3.5.3 review and it’s a short, but must see video!

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmPQOjra244

Here are some quick facts on hitman pro:

  • it’s free for 30 days
  • it uses it’s own engine, but also has the ability to scan with 5 other engines hitman 2 04 246x300 Hitman 3.5.3 Review
  • you can run it from a USB stick or CD
  • it only deletes files (no quarantine)
  • it removes restrictions on the system left in the registry
  • it’s extremely effective!

It’s actually 7 engines because GData uses both avast and bitdefender

Great review!
The results were expected.
Looking forward to the MSE review of cleaning that virtual machine.

Very good review. A few additions:

1. Hitman Pro is life-time free scanning.

2. Removal is free for the first 30 days.

3. You get Hitman Pro for free if you purchase one of our partner products in our shop.

4. You can use Hitman Pro without an internet connection if you check ‘Show unknown suspicious files (Early Warning Scoring)’ under Settings and start Hitman Pro without an internet connection.
You can also remove the threats without a license in this mode (EWS and no internet connection).

5. Hitman Pro works in Safe Mode.

6. Quarantine/History is released in the next build.

Hitman Pro uses 7 engines in the Scan Cloud:

- G Data 2010 (= Bitdefender and Avast!)
- NOD32 Antivirus 4.0
- Avira AntiVir
- Prevx 3.0 (direct link with their cloud)
- a-squared Anti-Malware (= a-squared and Ikarus)

Do u know if the A-Squared is equiped with the Ikarus engine?
If that is the case I would be very careful when removing files as they are riddled with false positives.

Hitman Pro is an evergreen application, just as long as you have internet. It also has a feature that watches for suspicious activity even if you don’t have internet which is sweet. How do you put this on a USB btw?

Just to confirm, Hitman DOES scan the registry as shown in this screenshot I took:
