I made a video over the weekend that tests Microsoft Security Essentials detection and removal abilities. Also, the next video will be released this week.

Hey, Matt. Why didn’t you fullscreened that VM? It would be more comfortabe to you to work and more comfortable to watch for us
nice review
Hi Matt,
Based on your experience playing around with MSE would you consider it as a good replacement for Avira antivir 9.0 Free when it comes to malware removal and prevention?
(At least, MSE doesn’t nag you with every update like Avira does).
Thanks
@Carlos – Yeah, actually for me it’s been a very solid replacement. In fact almost of all of my Avira customers are getting infected on an ever increasing basis. While this does mean more business for me, I also feel it makes me look bad. So…something needed to change, and so far MSE has been that change.
Hi Matt,
Comparing Avira free to MSE in terms of consuming resources. Can we say MSE consumes a lot of processor resources getting almost 100% in certain moments?
is the other video prevention?
@Victor
It sounds like something is terribly wrong with your system. I’m using MSE on abut a dozen computers. On average, MSE is using 50-60 MB of memory (quite low) and the CPU usage is at 0%. The only way MSE should be any higher than that is if you are running a scan.
Man, I thought u woulda sent out a few more vids right now, you still swamped with all the av calls?
defenswall 3 beta with built in firewall is out now.
