Find the link for downloading this product through here, if you want to test it out

I've heard that there are some new features in this version, there is a feature called malicious script protection, through a browser addon, most likely IE addon.
It also intergrates with windows firewall, so you can choose to turn windows firewall off when you install this product.
There is more, check them out at the website that I have provided above

There is a new version of Microsoft Security Essentials in beta, which is Microsoft Security Essentials 2.0, I’ve heard that you wanted to test out products that are for 64bit operating system, and this product is for both 32bit and 64bit operating systems.<br

After years of trying all them, I have finally settled on what I consider my optimum arrangement: Windows firewall, and Bufferzone and now MSE. My gang of three.
I use windows firewall because I am sick of cryptic alerts. I appreciate it is a one way only firewall but my view is that your other security should take care of any bad stuff on the pc. I like Bufferzone a lot as it gives extra confidence when surfing - it has helped a lot when a bad website is encountered. And finally MSE - the missing piece of the jigsaw. Prior to this I used Avast, but MSE is a really sweet piece of software, which MS should be proud of. It is simple and adds no drag to the PC, and sits there and takes care of business with no nags - how good is that. I finally have a secure system with no chatty software bugging me. Incidentally I run XP and have never been infected. Enjoy!

Like most avid computer users I have sought the holy grail of security – what feels right, and is cheap or free. I was using Avira Antivir Free and it was good as well. Currently I am using MSE, Threatfire and Outpost Firewall 2009(free) and these seem to be working well together so far. One thing that I did in the MSE settings is to list some process exclusions namely; the firewall, Threatfire, my video card driver and a couple of other 'trusted' processes. Thanks for the great video!

So far this MSE is working great. Tested with a bunch of files that I use and MSE stopped them all. It´s a good security tool and if you have Vista or Windows 7 with "UAC" and default firewall ON you should have a decent configuration with Microsoft tools only.
So think about this -->Vista/Seven x64 with UAC ON; Windows Firewall; MSE and IE8 with "Smart Screen".You have a solid configuration.Altough I think that we may see malware/rootkits in a very near future that will target all that (as many are doing right now). Exploits, etc...
Not to mention that other third parties software may have better "security" with the bonuses from being "faster".But it´s very good to see Microsoft DOING stuff to protected the users.

Good review !

This software works better than expected.<br

Install was simple, the interface is simple and clean. Detection rate is amazing. Finally some competition in the free AV world.

Security Essentials works flawlessly for me. It updates easily and every time.
