I agree for your kind of work it may not be right. But for my corporate setup, its good since we have large bandwidth with all machines directly/indirectly connected to Internet. Right now I have Panda Subscription for our machines. As of 2008, their detection is decent. Not at par with others.
But the Panda Sales person, convinced us that Panda 2009 will solve all that. So I want to know if their is any truth in their statements. Mcafee also has a similar in-lab solution called Artemis , which dramatically increased their detection (http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse/mcafee_artemis.pdf). And since Panda is the only one to release such a technology in a public product, just want to know how much is the truth before we commit. Also a clarification on your test procedure. Why don't you do the memory scan as in Setup ?? In most cases, when you go to install software you would remove malware in memory, so that the AV install is not affected. Right ?

Hi Malwarekilla,<br

On the cloud thing...I will upload a short video on CLOUD, however I'm not endorsing anything that REQUIRES an internet connection. When I'm on location with a client there is a pretty good chance they will not have an internet connection due to a massive infection or a disconnection from their ISP due to spamming/port scanning.

Everybody! it just stuck at Virusheat, it deleted the virus that been detected so far what i could seen. I use the beta and it has crash for me just like it had for you in the start up.I think you should do the review again when Panda has published their 2009 Version, and scan IN THE CLOUD.
Dont understund why you did´nt do that?

You said that Panda cant delete the Virus, only in safe mode.<br

Basically when panda scans any file as suspicious, it will send data to its Cloud solution called Collective Intelligence to give cure instantly.I see in video review 2, you actually cancel the prompt to enable net connection to allow this. I just want to know, if this actually increases their detection.see: http://it.tmcnet.com/topics/it/articles/33301-panda-security-launches-beta-panda-internet-security-2009.htm

hate to me be nit pick.
