This is the only software I sell to my clients. By far my favorite to remove and protect systems.

FYI: I called PCtools the other day to see when there software would be compatable with Vista 64 bit. Less then 30 days from what I was told so that would be Mid Nov 2008. They will be placing a large banner one their site letting people know it works with 64 bit systems. This is from the horses mouth. Maybe they were bsing me a little but the guy seemed to have his act together so I belive him.

Also anyone who has a current licence (Good for 3 systems) will be able to update to the newest 64 bit compatable version with out any extra charge. So if you have lets say Spyware doctor with antivirus or PCTOOLS IS then you will be able to upgrade at no charge. At least that is what they told me. Don’t shoot the messenger please!!!!

Is PC TOOLS INTERNET SECURITY 2009 is better than Spyware Doctor with Antivirus?

  • James

Marc – It’s the same, only with a firewall and a spam filter.

Have you tested PC Tools Alternate Operating System Scanner (AOSS)?
    Here is the website.

This is a bootable rescue cd.
I don’t know if this works with 64 bit, but if you are interested, have a test at it on a heavily infected virtual machine.
N.B, this boot cd will not completely remove everything it detects, it simply disables them by removing the main components, then you can boot into your system, and run some antimalware applications to clean up the remaining infections, such as malwarebytes antimalware and superantispyware.
Also, superantispyare can now be installed in safe mode, it now has its own installer.
