SuperAntiSpyware Detection and Removal Video. Nov Test 2.

by malwarekilla on November 12, 2008

Due to the fact that I forgot to update SAS Pro on my last video test I decided to redo the November test. I’m amazed at how fast and effective SASPro is. I’m eagerly awaiting version 4.22.

…if they would only stop using that Windows installer!!! I WANT SAFEMODE INSTALL CAPABILITIES!!!

About the Windows installer/Safe mode install… MS has requested that, in order to be “MS certified”, an application has to follow a certain list of rules… one of them is that they have to use the windows installer if they want to be certified (better debugging/troubleshooting support, etc.). Some companies really find MS certification important and will follow their rules (Kaspersky, ESET (I think), most of the security companies etc.)On the other hand there are those who find it more important not having MS limitations (can’t install in safe mode, kernel patching etc.). Blame it on MS, lol :P

Ahhh…I see. That makes sense. I still wish there was a “different type of installer” for us tech’s that rely on safemode and bootable discs.

Ok so Matt. I know this is hard to answer but which do you think is better overall. SAS or MBAM?

SAS is better at realtime protection, but both are good for just on-demand scanning:)

i am not sure if this is SAS but after scanning one infected machine my friend gets one error on boot up saying “Interactive Logon Process Initialization has failed”…anyone knows how to resolve this???
