@3Xist

That will stress youtube users like me who have a sucky internet speed.. Advertised speed: 3.6mbps. Reality: 400kbps

f January 18, 2009 at 4:07 pm

congrats

thats a bad internet connection azlan

here we have like 10mb connections
real 6mb/s
just as soon as it loads, pause it, and then wait, for it all to load.

matt
whatever you do

please do NOT make the videos start automaiticly on your channel

all it does it artifiusuually bost your view count, but its so annyong when your trying to look for the old videos

now we can watch them without worring about the order

you should dsging a cool banner ad stuff

@azlan210396

Data communications use BITS and storage systems use BYTES. As such, internet speeds are advertised in MegaBITS. However, your computer uses BYTES. Simple conversion is needed to give you your internet speed in BYTES.

1 megabit = ~122.07 kilobytes
3.6 megabits = ~439.45 kilobytes

So, you’re getting ~40KB under your advertised speed. That’s pretty good, actually.

@snake

Now after buying a router. D-Link DIR 300 Wireless G Router. The connection become slower, Why? only 100kbps not KBps. No one else is using the internet.. Anyone knows how to turn off this router firewall?? If i enter 192.168.0.1 to my browser it will go to my ISP’s modem setting page not my router

Jon January 19, 2009 at 9:58 pm

Hey
@Azlan
Did you try this combination 192.168.1.1
Trust me i had a router problem myself that i had to spend my good three day weekend fixing

snake January 20, 2009 at 12:35 am

@azlan210396
Jon is right, it’s 192.168.1.1.

If after getting a new router your speed is 100kbits, then I would return it. You haven’t changed any of the settings, right? That’s very odd that it would slow your connection down so much like that.

Go into your router’s settings page and set DMZ mode to your computers IP. This IP will be 192.168.1.XXX. DMZ mode just lets your computer bypass the routers firewall.

darcjrt January 20, 2009 at 12:36 am

Why dont you try Mamutu? From the creators of a-squared? Is behavior based malware blocking soft…. I would like to see if it works

Congrats BTW!! Keep up the good work!!
