Stop Using Registry Cleaners

I meet soooo many people online and in my consulting business each week that swear by their registry cleaner. Registry Cleaners are the snake oil of pc repair. Cleaning your registry will often do more harm than good and is totally unnecessary even after getting a malware infection.

If you get infected with malware the only important thing is to get rid of files (binaries) not registry entries. Once the malware files are going the registry entry means zippo…nada…nothing.

So, stop wasting your time and money on registry cleaners.

    Yes, Matt, you are right about registry cleaner. I only use TuneUp Utilities. But I see that many people uses or got installed on their PCs RegCure from Paretologic. As you check opinions of paretologic.com on MyWOT.com this comapny is rogue maker. They also made XoftSPY – an antivirus with fake scanner. Many peole tested this and found this malicious.
    RegCure has also fake scanner that finds nonexistent registry problems and delete them after u pay for full version of program. Many of those removed registry are systems registry and a lot people finds their machines unstable or unusable after RegCure “cleaning”.
    Unofrotunately many security reputation software like Norton SafeWeb or McAfee SiteAdvisor rates regcure.com and paretologic.com as green which mean safe to use and buy. Just WOT has the most accurate ratings on websites.
