Spyware Guard 2009 Rogue

I’ve been seeing Spyware Guard 2009 quite a bit this week (a rogue antivirus product). It’s got a pretty slick interface which caused 2 of my clients to buy this fake antivirus. One client had his credit card charged 4 times in a single day (just for that one purchase)! I removed Spyware Guard 2009 with Spyware Doctor w/Antivirus. Applications that can remove this rogue are:

  • Spyware Doctor
  • Malwarebytes
  • SuperAntiSpyware
  • Kaspersky Antivirus 2009
  • Norton Antivirus 2009

    I just think these applications are a little funny. I know more than the average user, but trying to get me to buy a fake product… Don’t they know they can caught doing this crap!!!

    Cant avira antivir remove it?
    I just removed this trash with hijackthis, though not completely…Some files are LOCKED.

    i just got rid of this for my cousin took me about 20 mins with mbm and sas she was convinced she had infections when the only one she had was this crafty pasty
