I meet soooo many people online and in my consulting business each week that swear by their registry cleaner. Registry Cleaners are the snake oil of pc repair. Cleaning your registry will often do more harm than good and is totally unnecessary even after getting a malware infection.
If you get infected with malware the only important thing is to get rid of files (binaries) not registry entries. Once the malware files are going the registry entry means zippo...nada...nothing.
So, stop wasting your time and money on registry cleaners.
