Trend Micro Security *New*

Postby Frans » Thu Aug 13, 2009 1:36 am

Hi guys Trend Micro released their first beta today of Trend Micro Security

Trend Micro wrote:The Trend Micro Security is a new product designed to give users effective protection using minimal system resources. Trend Micro Security Beta leverages Trend Micro's revolutionary in-the-cloud security technology.

Some Pictures that i made.

I dont know if this is going to be a free product (that would be smart if they did that just like Panda).

Nice GUI but Panda av will be free when they release it. People shouldn't jump on those cloud security programs as long as their in beta. Also i don't like the fact that those guys will know what's on users computer. Where's the privacy?
A fool with an antivirus tool is still a fool.
If you can't convince them, confuse them.
The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list.

I also commented Trend Micro that it would be smarter if its going to be free.

In my honest opinion this hasnt got more then Trend Micro Antivirus + Antispyware.

I wish it will be free, but when installing, it asks whether you want to insert serial or start free trial.
If you select free trial, on main screen it says "Buy Now"

This should be free, I also commented to Trend that this should be free like Panda.
Time will tell =O

Don't know why people think they will have a better detection by changing to a cloud scan engine. It's like having a bodyguard to protect you 3 blocks away ,looking at your surveillance camera..They still have to add virus definitions and their heuristics should be damn good.
A fool with an antivirus tool is still a fool.
