Go ahead and restart and run chkdsk via command prompt as Gus instructed.

Ugh i don't understand this. When i try and boot into safemode with command prompt my password doesn't work.

I boot normally and my password does work?? I'm waiting for my comp to boot up. It's SUPER SLOW. I'll run CHKDSK when or if i can

EDIT: That didn't work. After a while my desktop disappeared, save a few random icons, and when i try safemode with networking my password doesn't work.

Just try safe mode for now to run scan disk via command prompt. Don't use safe mode with networking and see if it makes a difference.

I just got it to work in Safe Mode with Networking.
That and normal boot are the only two that work, normal Safe Mode, and Safe Mode with Command Prompt don't accept my password..

I am not sure, but if scandisk found a bad sector on your hard drive, it would have stated it.

Since we got some hardware confirmations out of the way, I would like for you to make sure you have the latest version of Kasperksy's Rescue Disk and boot your PC with it. Run it like you did before and post the results for me to see.

After you run that, I want you to try ComboFix again and post those results as well.

Yes, running an older CD will be fine as long as it's a CD-RW and it successfully updates the database.

Sorry, I've been following this, and I found somewhere I could jump in.
