What's new in this version:

Version 10.0 includes enhanced LinkScanner and Email Scanner and adds new features, such as Social Networking Protection, Smart Scanning, Autofix Button, Community Protection Network, and Protective Cloud Technology.

It's using around 20MB of Ram....but they do like to have many processes. :lol:
Well if it feels light i gues that it's ok.
Side note : I've seen so many processes in G-data IS also,but their product it's not light. :lol:

Just remember that ram usage means nothing. What still pathedic is that this is AVG FREE. Why does a stand alone av need 9 processes running? Heck NIS,KIS and CIS all run 2 processes and those are suites. 9 processes and it still cannot compete with Avast Free or Avira Free.

From what i seen they have a process for each feature .... AV,Resident Shield,Tray Icon,Email,Online Scan...and so on ......
They could combine them into 2 processes. :) ....As you've said RAM usage dosen't mean a thing.CPU Usage and I/O it's important.I've tried MSE 2.0 just the other day and it was using 80MB per total.......felt really light. :D
