I've tested Avast AutoSandbox with 5 malware samples (Pre-tested - not detected by the antivirus engine) 2 rogues and 3 trojans.
Results : No alert from the Sandbox...System Infected.
I just conducted a personal test with Avast! 6 Free Beta with PUP detection enabled.
Threw about 20 links since the Web/Network Shield kept detecting most malwares.
Got infected with the fake Microsoft Security Essential Alert, however it was sandboxed (red border). Couldn't access Task Manager to confirm infection, but IE kept closing so I knew something was up. Rebooted. System running fine, could access Task Manager and IE to download some tools.
HMP and MBAM returned with clean results. Except for a suspicious flashplayer[1].exe download.
Since I did not record this, it is up to you whether you want to believe me.
