You better mean your motorcycle and not bicycle. LOL. I bolted up the exhaust parts on my truck today. Sounds awesome. I am going to put the cold air induction next then the bigger intercooler.

This is my plaything. 1999 Mazda B2500 more commonly known as a 1999 Ford Ranger 2.5L. 5 Speed Manual, 3.73 gears in the back with a stronger axle thanks to Mazda. It's not exactly fast... but it's pretty darn stout when it comes to pulling. Oh.. .and it's only 2wd... It does go places that heavier 4WD's can't with out getting stuck.

Later on when it's paid for I have two options that I'm considering, well 3..

Option 1 = Turn it into a mean 2.5L Turbo Ranger. Already proven to put out over 400HP
Option 2 = Pull the powertrain and drop in a Cummins 4bt
Option 3 = Pull the 5.0L V8 from a 1999 Ford Explorer (SUV version of the ranger)

I'm really leaning towards Option 2... I love those Cummins 4bt's. :D

@VampireTooth... Did you change anything to your car? I'm a Mazda technician and never seen this U.S version..

If you can't convince them, confuse them.
The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list.

Haha, yeah. For the sake of my stupidity I swapped the factory quiet exhaust for a louder Flowmaster 40 Delta.
It'll cost way more to restore it back to quiet standards, so I'm stuck with loud and annoying. Oh and slightly larger tires.

That's pretty much it, everything on this truck is Ford original as far as I know. I got it used somewhere between 06-07 with 51,000 Miles on it. :P

In the US Mazda pickups are just re-badged Ford Rangers. I am strongly inclined to believe that the previous owner swapped the rear end for a LSD. I was out at the ranch trying to unload trash into the burn pile when I got stuck and left 2 HUGE ruts in the field. As shown in the pictures.

Oh, The reason why you've probably never seen this version is because Mazda only used the 2.5L from 1998 to half way through 2001.

The Pre-1998 2.3L motors were Limas as you know. Half way through 2001 they switched over to the Mazda 2.3L Duratech motor.

The 2.5L Lima was the same 2.3L they used for years in the rangers except they gave it a longer stroke. As I'm sure you know the Mazda B series trucks in the US are just re-badged Ford Rangers.

For all my replacement parts I goto the Ford dealership. I went to the Mazda Dealership once and they had to have a part shipped over night from the same Ford shop down the street. I got a thermostat in a motocraft box with a Mazda sticker slapped on it. No joke.

*sigh* I could preach all day on the one shot wonders Ford and Mazda threw on this year pickup. Like there isn't a dedicated speedo sensor. The '99 Mazda B uses the ABS sensor on the top of the rear Differential to detect speed.

If i don't stop here I'll keep going and going.
