GeSWall install expired?

Postby elliotcroft » Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:27 am

I tried to install GeSWall again after the previous license expired but the new install has also expired, anyone know what the issue is and how I get it resolved?

This happened to me too few years ago. Not even with a new installer i couldn't reset it. Tried the new version yesterday on W7 and found that it doesn't gets along with UAC.

Their installers expire after a date. Sometimes they expire before a new version appears... they should remove this.

I think they forgot to renew the license for it, because I am pretty sure that GeSWall is meant to update automatically and a new version was installed, but the license did not renew. I hope this is fixed soon, because I am having to use SafeSpace and the red boarder is really annoying because things are out of their normal place.

Try Bufferzone Pro... SafeSpace is a dead product.

I know that SafeSpace is dead, but Bufferzone Blue screens my PC. SafeSpace is good enough until the issue with GeSWall is fixed, but I would still prefer to use GeSWall in the long run.

OT: Welcome back elliotcroft i notice you are an old timer member like me :)

I prefer GeSWall to sandboxie because GeSWall has free automatic isolation. I really don't see any faults in GeSWall and I would love to be able to use it again.
I still haven't got any info on why GeSWall is not working, and I am getting tired of SafeSpace making opera go slow.

Already have Comodo Firewall but it's sandbox is more of a rights list which is not what I prefer.

Ryan, can you tell us why GeSWall is no longer recommended by Matt?

I have used Sandboxie myself for quite some time but before the Synaptics issues were fixed, I used GeSWall on my wife's setup. (Now she is using Sandboxie as well.)

I thought it was a good program but I found that it was far from intuitive to use and it took me a long time to get it set up to where I was satisfied.
(I was using the free version at the time...the most recent until this latest update.)

Thanks for any info.
