You're right, there are a lot of bugs and there are a lot of complaints in the forum.....just like there were when Avast 5 came out, and now you would think that it was God's gift to PC's. Was the release a bit early? Maybe so. Is all hope lost? Nope, it's not causing mass destruction or anything, just some bugs. It's way too early for judging.

Your missing the point and not reading everything I wrote. Every single new product Comodo comes out with has bugs. They keep releasing product after product without any of those products being thoroughly tested. Its not fair to millions of pc users who looked forward to getting the latest and greatest. I spent over $1000 on my laptop and when CTM caused a BSOD and a complete reboot cycle I swore I would never try or use another Comodo product. Sure any software has bugs but I have never in my life have had a software give me a BSOD and cause my pc from booting. Thats is seriously wrong.

I have been screaming about CTM being a mess for awhile now. Personally I have got BSOD (not lately) from a few security companies in the past. I just want people to put things in perspective. I've been looking for all of the livid Avast AIS users complaining about the horrid results of the recent testing but can't find many outside the Avast forum. Same with Avira (updates and FP's), Norton (bad ratings for NIS), McAfee (MIS is apparently a joke) etc. Comodo users will actually tell you the good AND the bad, unlike many other users it seems. Of course that's just my humble opinion.

This is going way off topic but you need to get your facts straight on NIS. NIS in the past 2 years has made leaps and bounds. Its rated one of the best security suites around and the av has come out on top in a lot of different tests. Avast IS is a completely new product unlike CIS which has been around for over a year now. This is Avast's first attempt at a suite. Comodo has been making a firewall for years.

IMO Comodo makes the best free firewall period... I say this about Comodo because they actually support 64bit operating systems.

Oh yeah, as for CIS 4.0... On my laptop I'm testing the new antivirus, not brutally but just keeping it up to see how it does in every day use. On this thing though.. I'm only running the firewall and D+. So far I haven't had any problems with either the laptop or the desktop.

I wouldn't wanna be a Comodo dev right now. I can assure you they are full throttle and they should be. I hold to my thoughts on this new version though, it's got some bugs but it's got even more potential. Now if we can get them to focus on ONE thing!

Until some of these issues are resolved. I'll hold off on version 4.0.

Well, in fect that Dieselman is telling the truth on most of the Comodo issues. I have never used Comodo time machine so there for I have nothing to say on that a particular problem but the Comodo Antivirus definitely has false positives and that stinks but I'm just happy to have my Comodo Internet Security without the antivirus for free. I think, I understand why Dieselman got pretty excited. Man he is on fire.
