You say that, but you even went back on yourself when Norton was tested by Lang.y99 ( viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7914 ), after that Lang.y99 thread.

This is in reply to:

Mods, remove this if it's irrelevant.

Prana don't take half of what I say. Take it all. I also said some of his reviews are ok.

Not possible, someone would notice it, raise a concern and then news would spread like wildfire and mods would not be able to contain it.

We don't really care so much about Comodo rep. so we would edit or remove something bad about it. This is the case on any security product you could name. The only thing we care is not to bash it even if it stinks. We just change our config and that's all , the rest is their problem.
A fool with an antivirus tool is still a fool.
If you can't convince them, confuse them.
The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list.

I haven't tried NIS 2011 but from what I read on the net, reviews and such it seems to be a great product. CIS 2011 I am currently using and think it's their best effort to date. I have used Comodo's products since version 2 of their firewall. To me, both of these products seem very good. One is free and the other is not. That dosen't neccesary mean one is better than the other. I'll tell you what I do like much better in NIS, is the UI. Comodo should hire someone to redo the CIS UI. I liked their old look much better (ver3).

Just my .02 cents,
Ice

That was poorly handled. There were no posts removed that I could see and there was some blame on both sides, but overall it was a bit harsh.

Silence is sometimes the best weapon but more so Symantec doesn't really care. There name and reputation speaks for them self. Norton is a hold name where as Comodo never will be................Well maybe in 10 more years or so. Melih being a CEO should stay out of this actually but he always needs to stick his nose into everything. Comodo feels this need to try and prove themselves over and over. Like a child stops there feet for attention. Did CIS beat NIS? According to this test yes................BUT how experienced was the tester? I bet very experienced. Once again I will say that CIS is a very good suite ............................BUT ONLY IN THE HANDS OF ANY EXPERT.

Oh Boy! Just tripped over this thread by accident.

I have 3 "shocking" comments.

1/. 'Dieselman' and me are not the same person. (He's more... is "forthright" a good word?)

2/. I have given Melih, and others, the "benefit" of my earnest counsel:

http://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/comodo-beats-norton-t63713.0.html;msg449698#msg449698

http://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/comodo-beats-norton-t63713.0.html;msg450135#msg450135

and further on in that and other threads, and have not been banned.

3/. Many people at Comodo forum I found to be quite reasonable.

Awesome replies Pete. Welcome aboard. Just as I have said...................Symantec never pointed the finger at any one single product. They made a general statement. Melih took it upon himself to make this a fight. Meilh has a Napoleon Complex and reminds me of a 5 year boy on Christmas morning. Every time Norton wins or does good on a test you don't see them jumping for joy now do you.
