Avast or Kaspersky?

I have installed Avast! 6 now 7 Internet Security just this 2011 and it's about to expire this Month I was wondering if I should go with Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 or Avast! 7 Internet Security I watched www.youtube.com/user/mrizos review for both softwares both look good so which one should I go with?

I think you should stick with avast. Matts review was on removal with avast. Matt even said avast! Removal abilitys might not be good but if you have avast! On a clean pc you are pretty dam protected. I'm sure avast is working on its removal abilitys they do listen to their users. I'm sure they have already seen matts vid. I think prevention is key and that's why I think you should stick with avast.

Kaspersky is a good suite can be heavy at times though and have slow scanning speeds... i also personally like avasts UI better than Kaspersky's new one. but ever since i switched i dont have any problems with slow downs and ive always seen avast great with prevention so clean machine you should be good (if your not sure malwarebytes and hitman pro are great on demand not to get off topic) but yea i would even recommend just avast free if you dont want a paid solution.

My choice would have to be Avast because it's much lighter on the system and has (in my opinion) better detecion rate.

i don't get why someone would use kis (for prevention) instead of avast, kis is a resource hog and has slow scan speeds and you have to pay for it.
