How to get the most secure server/firewall

Hi guys, I just registered. I have one question. On one of Matt's videos, think it was "My Computer 3", he talked about the best protection possible and talked about his DNS servers. I was just wondering how he got good servers and how I could get the best firewall or server or whatever it is for my system. Thanks for reading!

It depends on what you like. Are you a beginner or a fairly confidant person with computers?
