Is Norton Safe Web Lite (toolbar) needed since Norton DNS will block the dangerous sites, unless you need it for the site ratings on the search engine.

Why don't you just use NIS?

@ Diesel...He is getting protection from 2 vendors (no signatures based on Norton but still site checking is a good way to have a second opinion).

@ imsoadude...How's your web browsing with three way protection?
A fool with an antivirus tool is still a fool.
If you can't convince them, confuse them.
The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list.

@Dieselman, i really just wanted a second opinion on internet pages and i use the norton dns because the GRC Dns Benchmark and Nortons came up as one of the fastest so i wanted to have that as a additional layer

@virtu, my web browsing is good i havent noticed any speed difference really :)

Well your using NortonDNS and Norton Safe Web you might as well just use NIS. KIS has a web shield to automatically block malicious web pages. KIS also has a site advisor.

Yea but this way with norton dns it can block a page before kaspersky so incase kaspersky doesnt block it there will be a backup that does, and i like norton safe web because it will give you a rating for every page when you search on google or any other search engine

So doesn't KIS. Unless they removed that feature with 2011.
