What does this have to with the General section. This belongs in the MBAM section.

Are you sure Comodo is not blocking it?

is there an error message that prompts, or does it just ignore the update completely?

uninstall MBAM, keep the setup file on your desktop, reboot to safe mode, and try re-installing it again. see if the update works this time round. if it does, run a quick system scan. if it doesn't detect anything, then you should be good to go. but i'm sure it will. ;)

You may want to use the Purge button in Comodo, after uninstalling MBAM. This will remove all MB related rules.
