I meant, I did the mbam.exe /update through Run, not the Registry on start-up. ;)

I created a registry key so it ran everytime I started my computer, if you wanna' try it make sure you backup your registry and do the follow ;)

I opened run, typed in regedit and naivgated to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
I created a new string value and called it MBAM. Once I created that I double clicked on it and wrote in the location of the batch file (Mine was "c:\mbam.bat")
Now it runs when I start up my computer

Why is this need it? I don't get it.........Mbam Free it's an on-demand scanner.....before you scan you just needto click the Update button...it only take like 5 seconds to update.

It was a good idea you made but honestly not necessary. It takes a mere 5 seconds to open up MBAM and update it. The reason prana made this was cause some body asked he to make MBAM Free auto update since he always forgets which in my mind is just odd.

I was looking for a way to automate the update and scanning and found a way to drop three files into the mbam directory and then use task scheduler to have mbam update itself, close the update dialog indicating successfully updating and then to run a scan, it started out as a batch that was converted to an exe I believe as I found it in reading to find the method mentioned here by the original thread starter. Nice though as now every weekend it updates and scans on its own.
