I spent a lot of time troubleshooting what was going on with system restore. Guess what, I finally found the issue.... Online Armor has a conflict with system restore. I tried reinstalling it with the thought that it might be a corrupt installation. It wasn't, as soon as Online Armor was running again my System Restore wouldn't work. I'm afraid I'm back with Comodo. Comodo rocks anyway!

I'm surprised though, I've never seen online armor block system restore before...

Running Online Armor on 4 pc's and no troubles with System Restore. Just tested it. Why didn't you post your problem in the OA forums? Also why do you need to keep using System Restore?

I'll post the problem in there forums. I almost never need system restore, but I like to know that every feature of my computer works.

When you use System Restore what does it say? Does it say "Restore Unsuccessful" after rebooting? Are you using OA Free or Paid? What version of OA? I am using 3.5.018 right now.

I am using the exact same version as you. I got it from GAOTD, so it is the full version and this is what system restore says.

Instead of reinstalling, have your tried disabling online armor and testing if system restore works?

If you got your version from GAOTD then your using 3.5.014. I am using 3.5.018.

Yes I turned off and shutdown online armor and system restore worked. When I turn Online Armor on System restore doesn't work.

I've been updating it and for my reinstall just to see if I could get it working that way I downloaded the free trial from their website.

boot into safe mode and do the restore from there
