Because registry cleaners don't provide any noticeable increase in system performance at all. And they are VERY likely to cause problems.

I know I had to reformat because of it

Cure:: Malware Bytes, Super Antispyware
Browser: Firefox 3.6 with Adblock,WOT,Mcafee site advisor
Dell Mini 10v Intel Atom N270 @ 1.60 GHz
1.00 GB of ram
160 GB HDD

Well, it is Ok. It is not worth paying for something like that when there are already better free ones. There are also better paid ones.

I believe this should help some of the user here and believe it should be pin with this thread. Some of the services we run on our system doesn't need to be running for most user and should be turn off for faster use of the system. Here is some tweaking on system services:

i use RegCure to clean up my registries. but so much is mentioned on Advanced SystemCare. i'll give that a try. is it really that good?

Regcure is almost a rogue! I cannot believe that you use that.

hahaha, i can quite agree with you. i ran ASC, and it found 5000 registry errors, after a RegCure scan. imagine that! but anyway, any proof of its rogueness? i'm interested to know how it rogues.
