Malware needs less then 1 minute to make your pc a "Recycle Bin" .Don't tell me av's can protect you....especially MSE who doesn't update automatically after 2 days.

anyway ryan, you have Comodo's Firewall, so its Defense+ feature should pretty much block everything malware-based. of course, with the right user intervention and knowledge.

You'll clean your PC also with MalwareBytes so this is something that i'm used to. Norton only admits that their products are not the greatest , like others claim.

exactly, i've not met an antivirus that's complete, without the added on-demand scanners like Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, etc. somehow, we still need them all. so no issues about which AV is the better one, it all boils down to personal preference. i guess what's most important in an AV is their real-time protection and heuristics.

I don't care if MSE is or isn't the best. It may have more signatures BUT let my submit this to you:

Say hypothetically MSE has 100,000 signatures and Avira has 95,000.

MSE has more signatures now BUT who is to say they have all the same ones as Avira?

There can still be some virus that Avira will block that MSE won't. It will always be like this because no company can block everything using signatures.

MSE could be the best but it all boils down to that one day when you stumble across the "new virus" right as it comes out. Will you be protected enough?
