Me I vote ESET because its is easy to use and it is light, in KIS its heavy in system because of processes and the ram but because they have HIPS and behavior block that ESET dont have, they are using their signature base.

James you obviously haven't tried KIS 2010 9.0.0.736.

Hemingway..........................So I guess Matousec are completely wrong and we all need to trust you instead.

In today's age you need a good HIPS.

I agree, but it's personal preference too.
Eg. Like some still prefer XP over 7.

I didn't say matousec is wrong :x They're just not testing the latest version.I don't know how they're getting eset but what I know for sure is that they are getting an old version of it.And the test results that guy did proves what I say.ESET firewall is able to reach level 9 and not fail at level 1 with 10% ?! I wish if they could just test the latest version.

P.S:If you still think I'm crazy, why don't you download the test files and check out the results in vmware. The latest version of ESS 4 is currently v4.0.467.0

Well you probably dont know this but companies must submit there latest versions and pay Matousec to test it. So if Eset hasn't submitted and paid Matousec to test there latest versions its not Matousec's fault. Also Smart Security only scored 4%. There is no way that the latest version can bump them up to the top 10 or top 5. No way in hell. So here is a good test. Download and run Comodo's CLT test and post your score. With KIS I get a score of 320/340. This is a real test. Not the ones you ran. I bet Smart Security cannot even come close to 300. Eset Smart Security version 4.0.417.0 was the latest version that Matousec tested. So again there is NO WAY that the current version will do so much better.

ESS is lighter than KIS, the AV isn't as good. The firewall doesn't even come close to being as good as KIS 2010's. It also doesn't have a HIPS module, and if it does.. it's pretty much nonexistent. I'd definitely recommend KIS for protection over ESET.

Oh.. and Diesel, are there any specific tweaks you made to KIS's firewall? I just performed the leak test and got a 200/340 with the default settings. :?

No tweak needed for the firewall since there isnt any. Please follow the steps in this other post since this is off topic.

Dude your from Wilders. You should be aware of the Comodo CLT test. Its been around for 2 years now. No you dont need a VM. I sent you a legit link that Comodo made themselves. Its a firewall test if you read it. Not a virus test.

P.S:ESET refuses to let me download it.It say trojan downloader along with IE8??Now what?? :o Is this thing absolutly safe?Oo...and should I turn off real-time while testing or keep it on because many trojans are being detected!!!!
