Yea, damn, they love to hog memory.
I will look into a router, they're fairly cheap so it's not a problem if I don't like it.

Seriously, your setup is far from incredible and spyware terminator stinks. AS3 personal firewall also is not all that worth it compared to the features you can get with Comodo or Online armor firewalls. Panda Cloud AV is also one of the lamest ways to protect your computer. But I guess if you think its great and like to reformat, whatever.

I suggest you don't spend money on security software considering you can get better for free. If you want to be secure this is what I would suggest.

Antivirus: Avira, Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials.

Firewall/HIPS: Comodo or Online Armor free

Sanboxing: Sandboxie

Then use MBAM, SAS and A-squared scanner as on demand. Spywareblaster is a great addition.
~~~~I prevent the malware, the AVs and HIPS are just a backup~~~~
Config #1 is completely mediocre, #2 is not too bad considering you have GesWall and a decent AV in Vipre. Just like Diesel mentioned, the RTP module in MBAM isn't needed since it's barely effective. AS3 Firewall is poorly rated and definitely isn't superior compared to the other free ones such as Comodo, Online Armor, or PC Tools Firewall.. so I'd recommend choosing a different firewall. Also, switch Panda Cloud AV with Avira, Avast, or MSE. ALL of those AV's are much better options to choose from. Adding a BB or HIPS program to config #1 would be good too.
stay simple, rtk, choose:
1 real-time protection AV
1 HIPS application with firewall
1 sandboxing application (optional)
MBAM on-demand
SAS on-demand
that's all you ever need.
rtk's setup. No need to have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro installed. I could never go with Panda, it's terrible. GeSWall I don't mind but Vipre? Seriously man.
Vipre is a solid AV but far from the best.
when you can get better security products by many folds, which are free, to replace Vipre, it's just very difficult to understand why choose the poorer, trial version product.
