Spybot Search & Destroy Section

Postby liljj2009 » Fri Nov 27, 2009 6:22 pm

Yes I know Spybot is pretty old but we can still provide it with some type of respect. :) I know at least some of us will always have a special place for Spybot in our hearts.

Currently, there is no discussion of Spybot S&D. There would be no discussion in the Spybot forum if we made it either. Spybot is so old nobody should really be using it anymore anyway. In honesty, this idea is just a waste of forum space.

I highly doubt Matt will make space for a completely and out dated piece of software.

They are too far behind and you don't need that kind of product. If someone wants to say something about it misc. security products talk is enough.

So you don't respect Spybot as a security product?

Spybot and Ad Aware were the first two real on demand anti spyware programs. The world grew and know and love them. But times change and anit spyware became anti malware and thats where SAS and MBAM took over.

Yes but how do you know how the newer version will turn out?

Yes, but why create a forum for a product that most likely wont be good? They would have to entirely re-write their engine for spybot to be good.
