Pop Up Blocker for 2011 product line

Postby Brandon6579 » Fri May 07, 2010 10:18 am

Do you guys think that Symantec should intergrate a pop up blocker into their 2011 product line for NIS/NAV? I posted this as a new idea in their forum because I get pop ups every time I visit the local news/weather station's website, and I also get them from time to time when I visit MLB's website.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. No. Are you talking about ads or pop ups? Thats your browsers job and nit your security. Every browser has a pop up blocker and ad blocker.

Norton did have an anti-banner as part of an add on extra up until 2008 and they got rid of it as they said that most users didn't use this feature.

So I don't think it will be coming back :?

Yes I have, but I am using Firefox alot more often now. I mayjust ditch IE8 on account of the pop up issues but my nephew says he likes IE8 better so I dunno yet.
