It's a drawback to you, but it's a feature to me, cos I just need text most of the time

ive went back and forth between chrome and firefox but as of right now firefox is my browser

As has been stated previously it is a matter of preference, personally for me it is Opera all the way. I like the Opera Unite, Turbo is cool but I do not use it, Opera Link is handy and having the translucent skin applied makes it look awesome with Aero. If you want to add to Opera it isn't as easy as downloading an add-on like Firefox but it is a great browser with a large amount of customization available. I use many user javascripts that add features similar to how Extensions increase the usability of Firefox. I have many external applications launchable from within Opera along with just so many other little enhancements that increase productivity and find it such a pleasure to use. I have FF as well as some others cause I like to play around but for me it's Opera. For those that haven't tried it I'd urge you to give it a fair chance. Most find it so different that they shy away long before they realize what it can offer. Thanks for the creator of this topic, enjoyable read.

Some won't use Opera or Chrome, because it shows a Red X on the RM Forum Homepage.

Yes that is what he means. See my screen shots I have posted. There are several sites that do not support Chrome or Opera.

My vote goes to Chrome. I like the look and simplicity of the browser.
Extensions are essential to me and luckily the important ones are already ported to chrome.
Fast development, secure, built-in browser sync, all sites just work (the only site I have experienced problems with is this forum).
What's not to like?!

Firefox sure is heavy on the RAM usage, starts on 55MB - ends with 180MB. 
Even Opera with Unite uses less...
