I see! My opinion is that this is their decision. They can answer CIS crappy (professional) questions but can't ignore HitMan FP's?
A fool with an antivirus tool is still a fool.
If you can't convince them, confuse them.
The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list.

Most people will just trust what there anti virus says to do. So if I was a noob scanning my Girfriends laptop and I removed the two rootkits it found..........Soon after a reboot I would have no sound and Asus Doctor would not work. Think of false positives like registry cleaners. More harm then good.

RossN and Paran please read the entire thread. I have had about 20 fp's with HMP and not just on my pc so get a clue. Thanks. Please pay attention before replying. Also the screen shot says it all. I have also scanned with HMP on house calls and came up with false positives.

From my perspective of view this thread has educational value and one of the reason why I visit rM, and this is what's all about rM and I like it. After all We all are entitled to our own opinion. I scan my computer with HMP bi-weekly and haven't had any FP yet.

This is not an opinion. It's a fact. Facts are backed up with proof where as opinions are not.

Obviously not everyone has this issue, or at least not near the level of your experiences.
The official HMP thread on Wilders has in excess of 2000 posts now and I assure you that the vast majority of them are not negative in nature.
That community would've collectively turned their backs on this product a long time ago if more than a handful or two had this negative an experience.

Yes, the FPs are a bit high. If you go to bleeping, MBAM, geekstogo...etc, you rarely see the helper ask the infected user to use hitmanpro.

I was/am never a fan of HMP and have never suggested an user to use it unless someone has before I take over the removal process.

I was using HMP too and it detected my SoundMax driver and my Belkin wireless utilty as a trojan. I uninstalled the program and probably never coming back to it

Some people need to go back to school and learn the difference between facts and opinions. These are facts and my findings are facts. This is not about opinions. If you cannot stick to the subject then you need not reply. Thanks.

Opinion Example "I dont like HMP cause it is bad."

Fact Example "HMP produced false positves which can be seen in my previous thread screen shots. The other false positves I dont have a screen shots of but can reproduce them if need be. HMP wants to try and make people buy certain security products by informing you that you currently do not have an protection. See screen shot for proof."
