Opera vs. Chrome and Mozilla

I'm an id!ot... I think there is an compatibility issue with Prevx SafeOnline and Google Chrome.

However, Chrome has crashed on me few times a day, even while PSO is disabled.

Anyways, I will continue to use Chrome.

I say Firefox. Some sites on Chrome and Opera take nearly 10 seconds to load (e.g hotmail, gmail). I have a 6mbps internet speed which isn't too bad. Firefox takes about 0.5 seconds to open it. Also since Chrome sandboxes each tab, the RAM usage becomes extreme. Each extension you install on Chrome also takes it's toll. On Opera, whenever I go to youtube it gives a html error so I have to refresh the browser to make it work. So IMO, Firefox wins

I don't experience those issues with Hotmail and GMail on Chrome.
RAM hog it is, though I'd much rather spend more physical RAM on my browser to have the added security that Chrome's sandboxing provides.

Their added security is really good but they should try and reduce the RAM usage. Each process using 40 megs is not good

The vast majority of my Chrome processes are using ~12MB each.
It's not unheard of for a chrome.exe instance to gobble up 40+ megs, but it's not the norm.

I will always be a Firefox fan. The security and reliability is there. Sure it takes a little while to start up on a single core processor but... Once she get's going she flies through websites. Anything that can load up a webpage faster than I can sip on my coffee is fast enough. If one browser, say chrome or opera, is 0.02 or 0.03 of a second faster than Firefox then it doesn't justify switching over having to transfer my bookmarks and then try to find my extensions for chrome.

I singled out Chrome on that last part because.... well let's face it.. .adding adblock to opera is just too much of a PITA. Let's not forget Adblock on Chrome won't let you watch youtube videos. It makes you turn the adblocker off which allows the commercials through. Adblock for firefox doesn't have this draw back.

Another note: After typing all this on my laptop keyboard I came to the conclusion that I like my laptop's keyboard for typing more than I like my Razer Lycosa for typing.
