There are a lot of "die hard" Prevx users out there,and while Webroot AntiVirus and Spysweeper is[i] a highly rated product,it really lacks the Prevx fanbase. I personally like both.I have them on a couple of laptops.I can only wonder which direction this will go.[/i]

well if hitman pro changes to the webroot engine it wouldn't be too big a loss since it is based on the sophos engine, and it seems to do alright detection wise.

Sophos with high settings and Prevx= a lot of FP's.

I've used Prevx and loved it! It was very light and perfect at stopping viruses when the heuristics were set to highest. I only stopped using it because I'm waiting for v4 which I heard will have an offline database. I just hope this aquisition will not destroy the new version i.e. fill it with crap and useless stuff and making it heavy on resources.

Webroots AV offering from what I have seen unimpressive to say the least, it is a major resource hog on every system I have seen it on sadly. Playing with some of PrevX's offerings I saw some good results with no major notable performance lost so I definitely wonder which will improve or become the lesser after this begins to become distributed.

I am having some concerns about this.
When prevx released a new build there would always be a new build beta. Not only has the latest build been out for longer then normal, but since the purchase there is absolute silence on the beta side.
So either they are getting ready for releasing Prevx 4 (which would be great ), or Webroot has already started destroying Prevx.
