I am sorry I didn't make much videos in the past, I was moving stuff around my house and my neighbor's dog been barking all night, couldn't sleep. And then there was this guy who got his pc so infected I had to stay awake whole night. I am so tired. Anyway, this product is, oh sorry, my phone's ringing....

Sorry, it was one of my clients... Anyway, this is what my room looks like now. I painted it blue, my wife loves it. As you can see, this program looks awesome, I love it.

You are 100% right Gak. This is why Matt lost so many viewers. The user comments explain this in detail. Matt goes off on these tangents and forgets why he is actually making a video. It turns from a video to review to a blog about his personal life. Stick to the basics. Heck even Languy99's biased videos still stick to security.

I agree. He's a good guy and he knows his work, but personal life should be his only. That's what facebook is for now, personal diary :D

Separate install & config from the test (if it is too long), just because many people seem interested only in the actual test. But I disagree with removing all the non-interesting part about personal life :) That's what kept me watching. After all you can't have an accurate result from 10/15 links. Anyone can screen-capture some links being thrown in a browser. Not everyone has a room painted in blue.

Haha Gak... true. But I do also like hearing what he's been up to, it makes the videos a bit more interesting.

Videos are videos. Life is life. Like Gak said if Matt wants to tell people about his life then thats what FB is for. Do you see any other YouTube videos where someone goes off on these types of tangents? No.

He usually just talks about what he's been up to when there is nothing happening (installing etc) which we don't even need to see in the first place. So if gets rid of uneeded parts then he won't go off on any tangents.

I don't watch any other youtube videos about security apps. ...they are all the same (aka boring). It is all about tastes and I've just stated my opinion.

One video with install and ramblings about whatever...for me.
Another one with the test itself...for all you guys.

edit: please

I much prefer the short videos from installing until the removal of leftover infections than a longer video which it needs a while of buffering.

Another good point James. When Matt first started doing long videos, there were complaints from people with slow connections that they couldn't watch them.

At this moment I'm leaning towards 2 videos.

Video 1. Intro, install, config, performance (ram/proc)
Video 2. Live testing against malware

I doubt I can stop babbling...it's my style :P
