Hardware firewalls

Postby Nashua » Tue May 05, 2009 9:52 am

What is the differences between hardware firewalls and router firewalls??
How well do they protect against inbound attacks compared to software firewalls?
Is it possible to break through a hardware firewall?
Do you know of any tests for hardware firewalls?

Sorry for so many questions.
Thanks for any help. ;)

A hardware firewall is built into a router. A software firewall control outbounds. A hardware firewall controls inbounds. Best to have both.
