The "C" drive was still blank and there were no programs listed in the Start menu.
Dieselman I think I ran into this problem a few weeks ago. My uncles netbook had the same problems, the "C" drive was not showing any files, etc. I actually should of Google searched the problem, but I like challenges. What happened was the malware actually disabled things in registry, I enabled them and it was back to normal. Thanks for posting this.
