Malicious Flash Banners

First, what are malicious malware banners and why you should care.
Malicious flash banners are just like any other flash banner (.swf) except that they have date activated code in the banner. So, for example, the malicious flash script may read like this:
On June 10, 2008 at 10 am
load (this url) or redirect to (this url)
The URL is either a malicious file or a website that injects malware automatically into vulnerable, unpatched pc's.
Why should you care?
Webmasters of very popular sites have been duped into publishing these flash banners because when they test the banner it is totally benign...until the malicious code is activated on the date chosen by the malware publisher. When that happens people get infected on a massive scale.
How can you protect yourself?
Install your windows updates on a constant basis. Run good antivirus (like Kaspersky AntiVirus) and good antimalware (like malwarebytes).
