Combofix Not As Effective As It Once Was

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but for the last 2-3 weeks Combofix has been more or less….a waste of time, in fact I just had to resort to my UBCD4Win on every malware appointment.  The latest round of rootkits seem to be evading it rather well.

Also, I’ve really had to rely on SuperAntiSpyware during this same time period due to a sudden increase in new Vundo infections (vundo displays random popup/popunder advertisments).

    it says that the combofix team is fixing an issue. It’s probably that.

    Hi Matt.
    Caught your vids on YT and have enjoyed them. With regard to this problem, wouldn’t Kaspersky 2010 prevent the problem? The reason I ask is that you reviewed Kas 2010 on Youtube and said that nothing had managed to get past it.
    What are your feelings now that you’ve had longer to test the software’s success rate?
