Security Essentials Final Release Due Tomorrow…

So, will the face of Anti-virus change? Ehhh…maybe a little. I sorta feel like it’s way too late for signature based AV. With about 2,000 new pieces of malware being generated everyday Sandboxing and Virtualization are really the only way to stay malware free.

New Infection Targets Explorer.exe

This is just an FYI to everybody. I’ve had 6 clients in the past 2 weeks that had their explorer.exe patched with something malicious. This piece of malware only patches explorer.exe and the symptoms are an explorer.exe that takes 5-10 minutes to load the desktop and is not loadable via a command prompt. [...]
