We are now tied for first with Brooklyn/LA Dodgers for all time NL Pennants. We already lead the NL in all time World Series wins–second in MLB only to the Yankees. We lead the Yankeess 3-2 in head to head World Series appearances. We are the only team in MLB history to win the World Series with only 82 regular season wins.
You know the story this year. This is a heck of a run. I did not even think that we would make the post-season.

Out of all of those, the stat that I am most proud of is that we have beaten the Yankees 3 out of 5 times when playing the Yanks in the World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals account for 23% of the Yankees World Series losses.
