My USB Toolkit for Work

Last night I made a little video called “What’s in my pocket”.  It’s basically a very quick explanation of the tools I use everyday.  If you think I should include something in my toolkit please leave a comment below.

Tweaking.com’s Windows Repair. Repairs a ton of things broken by Malware that don’t get fixed by MBAM or HMP. It fixes broken Windows Update, Firewall, Defender, Security Center, System Restore, etc. Also fixes safe mode and a slew of other things. I use it all the time.

    Hi Matt

I see that you have Secunia. One program that I’ve been using A LOT for the last year is a program called Patchmypc http://www.patchmypc.net. Try it out. I think you will like it A LOT. It’s like Secunia, but much faster. It doesn’t do as much software, but it does the most exploited and important ones. It also requires no install. It’s also a 1 click solution. if it finds out of date versions of say 8 things on a customers PC, you can click update and walk away and it will download and update all 8 things all at once.

      Thanks I’ll check it out.

Yep, you should do it sooner than later. It will save you a TON of time.

Matt, you should add AntiLogger from Zemana :)

Yeah, I forgot to add a bunch of things. I’m going to make a part 2.

Has anyone experienced issues trying to access this website from an iphone? It says “safari cannot open the page because too many redirects occured” everytime I try to access this site.

Yeah, I’m working on that, sorry. Should be resolved later today.

Seems like it’s working for me. Can you try it again.

I’m curious what you use to update all your tools. I’m using Ketarin, in conjunction with D7, and it works great. It can update all my tools automatically. It sure beats constantly going to each website and re-downloading the updates manually.

On my pocket USB stick I have (on top of most of what you showed here already) DrWeb Cureit (good for some rare cleanup cases) , DNSbench (very nice benchmark tool for DNS servers, speeds up some browsing on client computers), and a Ninite bundle for installing 7-zip, Chrome, MBAM and so on… all at once in one package. For slow and old PCs I have panda clound antivirus and Kingsoft PC doctor. – thanks for this great overview Matt!

    Hi Matt,

Good video as always. I’m really looking forward to your review of Comodo Internet Security Premium 6. I noticed that Comodo 4 was the last review you did of the software. I just upgraded from version 5 to version 6 and hopefully their antivirus software can still hang with the big boys. Thanks again for all you do.
