Question:
tfz.exe
tf0.exeare they viruses? i think they are because i never seen them before. it’s also using a lot of memory.
how would i get rid of them?
Answer:
They look extremely suspect to me since these are not typical windows files nor any exe I’ve seen (they look randomly named). I would upload these to virustotal.com and see if they are indeed malicious.
After you have confirmed they are malware i would attempt to run full scans with:
- Malwarebytes
- SuperAntiSpyware
It might be a good idea just to run scans with those 2 anyway.

Matt, I had a quick question and wanted to know are you still using HitmanPro for quick scans/kills on your customer PCs. Is it still a regular part of your toolket? because it is so light fast and scans with the multiple databases? What has been your experience with it if you have been using it regularly in the field? Thanks, Bryan
@Bryan – Yeah, I use it still. It’s really fast but doesn’t detect rootkits all that much.
Matt, Thanks !!! Just still wanted to see if it was part of your regular toolkit. Bryan
